Taking care of your eliquid is an easy step you can take to make it last longer and taste best. It’s not complex at all and most of the time what you’re already doing will work fine.  But, if you’re newer to vaping and unsure, this article is for you.

Where should you store it?

Always keep your vape juice in a cool dark place out of reach of children and animals. Sunlight tends to change the quality of certain liquids, including nicotine. Make sure your e-liquid bottles are stored away from direct light and with the cap screwed tightly.

Nicotine can be absorbed by the body through inhalation, ingestion, skin contact, and mucous membranes so childproof your ecig supply storage to prevent accidental poisoning.

Refrigeration can probably lengthen the life of your e-liquid by slowing down the aging process because low temperatures can turn your solution into thick syrup. Warm the bottle in your hands or let it set to room temperature before refilling your tank or cartomizer.

Some experts claim that freezing e-liquids can keep them fresh for an indefinite amount of time. There is no scientific data to support this so we do not recommend that you let your e-juice reach freezing point.

E-liquids usually stay fresh 12-18 months after the manufacturing date. Eliquid under certain circumstances can last up to two years after the bottle is opened when properly stored. If you want your ejuice to last longer, and you initially received it in a plastic bottle for immediate consumption, then you should transfer it into a glass bottle. Although most eliquids are sold to be vaped in the near future, glass storage bottles are preferred to keep the eliquid in good condition for longer than 2 years. Try to avoid storing e-liquids in plastic bottles.

If you are a do-it-yourself kind of person, chances are you are going to buy your e-cig ingredients separately. To keep all the ingredients fresh over time, it is definitely best to not mix them until you actually intend on using them. That said, you should store your base in one bottle, and your flavoring in another.
