Now you know all the risks, basic safety rules, prons and cons of sub-ohm vaping (have a look on our previous blog posts if you don't!) it's time to put that knowledge into action.  Are you ready?

First of all, you will need the right equipment.

Atomiser

Sub ohm tanks a great option for people who are new to the whole sub ohm thing but do not want to start building. The coils are disposable and pre-made (and very easy to change too!).

V-Revolution recommends the Innokin iSub Tank

Batteries

By decreasing the coil resistance below 1.0 ohms, the battery must draw more amps to deliver the current. This increases the power the device generates, which in turn creates more heat in the battery and the coils. If you exceed your battery’s amp limit, it could spark, catch fire or explode. It’s as simple and as dangerous as that. Don’t ignore the warnings!

Here are few tips to follow to ensure the maximum safety:

  • Choose your batteries carefully. Don’t use knock offs or cheap brands.
  • Buy from reputable retailers who understand how you want to use the battery and who can guide you.
  • Don’t overload your batteries. Switch out before you reach 3.3 volts and have more than one replacement.
  • Label batteries and replace them after no more than a year.
  • Don’t use a battery if there’s any sign of damage.

Another important thing: an eGo-style battery mod will not be able to handle the stress! You will need a box mod with a greater power, such as the Innokin Cool Fire IV

Innokin Cool Fire 4

So, you are all fired up and want to take your vaping to another level!

Since the goal is to generate massive clouds of vapor, airflow plays a big role in the world of sub-ohm vaping. Most people who sub-ohm vape take deep, direct lung hits (rather inhaling from mouth to lung), so sub-ohm setups are often designed to maximize airflow for this style of vaping. Although there are some exceptions to the rule, large adjustable air holes and big, open drips tips often make it difficult to inhale sub-ohm setups like traditional cigarettes, so keep this in mind.
